Terms of Use
By using CrimeRadar, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using crimeradar.co.uk ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Description of Service
CrimeRadar provides free access to crime statistics and safety analytics for UK neighbourhoods, sourced from the UK Police Open Data API. The service is provided "as is" without any guarantees of completeness, accuracy, or timeliness.
3. Data Accuracy & Limitations
All crime data is sourced from official police records via data.police.uk. However:
- Data reflects reported crimes only — unreported crime is not captured
- Scotland is not covered (Police Scotland operates a separate system)
- There is typically a 2–3 month lag between incidents and publication
- Our safety scores are our own calculated metric and do not constitute official safety assessments
- Street-level locations are approximate — exact addresses are not published
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract data from the Site
- Use the Site to harass, defame, or target any individual or community
- Represent our data or analysis as official police or government statistics
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures on the Site
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law
Commercial use of the underlying police data may be subject to the Open Government Licence v3.0 — see the full licence for details.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties

You should not make significant life or financial decisions based solely on data from this Site. Always consult multiple sources, including your local police force, when researching an area.
